Event Details
CORE Group and the TOPS Program are designing a technical meeting to advance the state-of-the-art (SOTA) on Nutritional Assessment, Counseling and Support (NACS) in the context of HIV and beyond. This 2-day meeting will be conducted for members of CORE Group and of the TOPS-sponsored Food Security and Nutrition Network, along with other key audiences with the overall aim of improving outcomes and sustainable impact of health and nutrition programming worldwide.
This SOTA meeting will provide an overview of current thinking and predominant issues surrounding the design, implementation and evaluation of NACS programming. Tapping into a carefully selected team of academic and programmatic experts, the event will cover a range of emerging science, technical content and program experience as well as provide a venue for in-depth information exchange. Key issues will be identified and elaborated, and priorities identified for future research and advocacy.
Thanks to a mini-grant from TOPS and financial support provided by USAID, registration at this event is free of charge and breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.
Please register early and limit registration to no more than 2 representatives per organization as space is quite limited!
To promote discussion on innovative approaches and best practices with NACS, we invite you to share any tools or materials you may have. If you plan to bring materials please send an e-mail to Bridget Ralph and Ashley Blocker at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please include the title of the material, space requirements and a contact name. For materials that can be found online, please provide a web address so we can make sure participants have access to them through the final meeting report.
If you are unable to attend, we have plans for thorough documentation of the event, including video-recordings of plenary sessions. All information will be posted on the CORE Group website.
