Across the globe, millions of children die unnecessarily each year from common, easily preventable illnesses such as diarrhea, pneumonia, malaria and measles, or from malnutrition. It doesn’t have to be this way. An estimated six million of these children could be saved annually through existing, proven, low-cost health care solutions. Our challenge is to deliver these solutions to parents, children and communities in the world’s poorest regions.

The CORE Group bridges this gap by responding to new and continuing health issues that place newborns and young children at risk. Since 1997, we have worked in partnership with nongovernmental organizations and local groups around the world to provide mothers, fathers and community leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to improve the health of children.

Our goal is to ensure that mothers stay healthy during pregnancy; babies are delivered safely; families have access to medicines that treat pneumonia, diarrhea and malaria; children receive vaccines against life-threatening diseases; and nutritious meals are available to growing children.
