CORE held a state of the art technical update on the issues surrounding indoor residual spraying (IRS) of pesticides presented by the Malaria Working Group. Presenters Michael Macdonald (USAID), Luis Benavente (MCDI), Pierre F. Guillet (WHO), and Jessica Rockwood (DFI) discussed when the use of IRS is appropriate, types of IRS programs, examples of roles for PVOs in IRS programs, and partnerships with the private sector. The meeting was also be accessible online through Elluminate.
