CORE Spring Membership Meeting
Portland, Oregon: Apple CORE, the CORE Spring Membership Meeting was held April 7-10, 2003 at Edgefield Inn in Portland.
The meeting title, APPLE CORE, not only reflects the orchards and vineyards in Oregon, but also a theme developed during CORE’s strategic planning meeting in December, Advancing and Promoting Partnerships and Leadership Everywhere. This theme reflects an emphasis on our strategic goal of organizational collaboration.
Highlights:
- CORE welcomes two new member organizations: The American Red Cross and The Hesperian Foundation.
- New Working Group: CORE now has a TB Working Group Co-Chaired by Dennis Cherian (Medical Care Development, Inc.) and Mary Linehan (Program for Appropriate Technology in Health) .
- Kate Jones received the 2003 Dory Storms Child Survival Recognition Award.
