Leveraging Resources: Diversification of Donor Funding

Participants discussed the evolution of PVO funding situation since the 60’s (e.g. smaller programs with smaller, localized donors – expansion with AID funding--more money and more technical capacity--, and the need to diversify funding to maintain scale). Challenges and lessons learned were listed by participants. Panel members gave brief presentations providing an overview of their experience with different kinds of funding sources, how they obtained funding from them, and what lessons they learned.
