NicaSalud Network Effectiveness. Jerry Hage (Center for Innovation, University of Maryland), Joe Valadez (FANTA)

Yogi Berra once said, "when you come to a fork in the road, take it!" At this meeting, there are many forks in the road. The basic problem we face is, what activities produce changes in the health behavior and knowledge of women and men in various communities in developing countries? LQAS sampling has been historically used to measure outcomes. This problem asks, what causes these impacts? How to use our information to better understand which of these intervention areas (including safe motherhood, diarrhea management, nutrition, vaccination, AIDS prevention or case management, etc.) we should invest more or less resources into?
