PVO/University Collaboration in Research and Evaluation

PATH and the University of Washington School of Public Health are collaborating in a Mellon Foundation-funded project entitled "Building Rigor into Reproductive Health and Applied Research." The aim of the partnership is to improve the likelihood that the results of reproductive health research and evaluation in developing countries will influence health policy and practice. The partnership is seen as a way of linking university faculty with field research realities, and PVO staff with academic resources to strengthen their field projects. The discussion for this session briefly described the partnership, and focused on soliciting ideas of PVO staff as to how to make use of the lessons learned from that ongoing project.
