Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to Improve Prioritization, Collaboration and Coordination
Bill Weiss (JHU, School of Public Health), in collaboration with Bal Ram Bhui (CORE Polio Eradication Team{PET}/Nepal) and Tonny Dias (CORE PET/Angola)

The session provided background on the CORE Polio Project, gave a brief overview of how the project used GIS for improved collaboration, improved prioritization and improved coordination/participation. Bill gave a brief demonstration of using ArcView software to create maps useful to health projects. This is available at http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcview/.
